Report of Exchange Programme between SMA Negeri 3 Malang and Nakhonsawan School Thailand

We praise to Allah, His compassion and guidance support us to conduct Students-Exchange Programme between SMA Negeri 3 Malang and Nakhonsawan School – Thailand 2011/2012.

Students-Exchange Programme  is conducted based on Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between SMA Negeri 3 Malang – Indonesia and Nakhonsawan School – Thailand. The activities of programme are academic and non-academic. The academic activity is immersion class, CCA immersion, cultural performance, and School assembly. The non-academic exchange is culture exchange that is several art classes, visiting many tourism places, and staying in house of buddy.

The participants of the programme are students and teachers. The number of students are 30 persons (19 females and 11 males) and  4 teachers (2 males and 2 females). The students consist of the participants of Cambridge Certification, and the students who have academic and non academic achievement. The teachers consist of Chemistry Teacher, Biology Teacher, Accounting Teacher,  and English Teacher.

Before, during, and after conducting exchange programme in Thailand, the students have to do and fill the reflection worksheets. The activities are researching, observing, classifying, analyzing, reporting, presenting, and filling the questioners. Researching was done pre-field trip; observing, classifying and analyzing are done during staying in Thailand; and reporting and presenting are done when they arrive back at SMA Negeri 3 Malang. Filling the questioner is very important, because it can measure the affective outcomes of the students.

             We wish the programme gets many benefits to improve the quality of many sectors of SMA Negeri 3 Malang, so the output can compete globally. The handout and programme will be improved at the next period.
